Our vision for route setting
We are committed to creating something people of all skill levels can enjoy. We want our work to be safe and professional. We aim to set climbs that both climb fluently and look visually pleasing. We will leave something on the wall that is whole and complete. We strike on every aspect what route setting has to offer.
Improving and growing as route setters brings us forward.
At the core of our vision is inclusivity and empathy. Climbing is hard but it should not be hard to approach. Anyone can climb and we aim to create a product that allows people of all backgrounds and interests to test both the physical and cognitive skills on the wall.
”Climbing is for everybody”
Movement. The thing that makes climbing – well – climbing. What would our sport be without the flow, the moves, the puzzle-solving? That's what we are all about. As route setters who strive for perfection, we are aiming to create something challenging yet joyful and memorable. The movement of climbing can make you feel weightless or the other way around. There are best to both worlds, whether it's wrestling on the wall or floating like a butterfly. We want to provide our customers with the whole package. We aim for diversity and inclusivity. We all might be 184cm tall, but our customers range from toddlers to tower-like-tall people. Not one is left without a fitting puzzle.
”Movement is the soul of a climb”
In our opinion the way a wall looks can make or break the experience. That’s why aesthetics are at the forefront of our work. When the routes look beautiful and balanced it draws people in and makes them excited to climb. Especially for beginners who know nothing about climbing the visuals can be the one of the only things that help them choose a boulder.
”Beautiful climbs draw people in”
”When the setter is happy it will shine to the customers through the climbs they create”
Route setter is a professional who sets for the customer's needs. We think that one of the most important parts of being a route setter is to realize that you are there to create an experience for others, not for yourself. Of course, route setters should be encouraged to put their personality and twists on the wall. But it should never take anything away from the customer's experience.
